Oil Can Man has been servicing commercial fleets in South Florida since 1990. Thirty-six years, and some of the same customers for thirty-five of them.
Most of that work happens where your trucks already are. Our service trucks come to your yard, your job site, or the loading dock while your vehicles are being packed. What most people do not realize until later is that behind the mobile side there is a 30,000 square foot shop on three and a half acres in Fort Lauderdale, with lifts, heavy equipment, and full mechanics working in it.
That is the part customers miss. We have serviced companies for years before someone finally says I didn’t know you guys did brakes.
We do. We do all of it.
It started with oil changes in people’s driveways.
Gino Gargiulo dropped out of school in the ninth grade. Getting hired without a diploma was hard back then, so he decided to work for himself. Getting an oil change meant sitting in a garage for two hours, so he went to people’s houses instead. Then a small air conditioning company with five vehicles asked whether he could do theirs, and they needed servicing every month rather than twice a year. That changed the business.
Thirty-six years later the same principle runs it. Taking a truck off the road costs a company more than the repair does, so we come to the truck.
A quick lube costs more than the invoice says. Your driver leaves the route, waits in line and comes back, so you pay a technician for that hour and lose an hour you could have billed. Multiply it by every vehicle you run, every month.
If it is a company vehicle, we service it. Sales cars, vans, pickups, box trucks, semis, trailers, forklifts, generators and specialty equipment. Today there is a steamroller outside the shop.
Everything from preventive maintenance to a major repair can be done at your location. When a job needs a lift, a press, or a week of work, it comes to our 30,000 square foot shop on three and a half acres near downtown Fort Lauderdale. Some customers tow their heavy trucks to us.
A service call is a full safety inspection, not an oil change with a sticker, and not a 14-point check. We pull front and rear brakes, measure tread depth on every tire, top all fluids, lube the chassis, clean the battery posts, set tire pressures, and report what we found.
Complete Mechanical Repairs, Right At Your Location
Drop a truck at a dealer and it can sit for days. A brake job that used to be in and out in a day is now often a week, because every shop is short of mechanics. We come to you instead, and the same technician who finds the problem fixes it on that visit.
Roadside Assistance
We also offer 24 hour roadside assistance should one of your vehicles break down while out on the road.
We do not employ lube techs.
At most shops the person doing your oil change is the least experienced person in the building. Every technician here is a full mechanic. The same person who changes your oil does the brakes, diagnoses the electrical fault and fixes the air conditioning, so when something is wrong he deals with it on the spot instead of booking you a second day out of service.
Thirty-six years, and we have never asked a customer to sign a contract.
Most companies in this industry want you locked in. We do not do that, and we never have. You get good service every time, or you throw us out. That is the arrangement, and it is why we still have customers who started with us in the early nineties.

The rest of it grew because customers kept asking. Brakes, then transmissions, hydraulics, air conditioning, DOT inspections. Then the shop, so we had somewhere to do the jobs you cannot do in a parking lot.
